Eastside Spin Jam – Dragonstaff Class w/ Drew Hearthfire

Please join us for the Eastside Spin Jam every Saturday at the Northwest Arts Center in Bellevue, WA from 12:45-2:45.

This week we’ll be featuring a DRAGONSTAFF WORKSHOP taught by Drew Hearthfire.

**Training with Your Dragon – A Dragonstaff Class**

An in-depth class on the incredible art of Dragonstaff! Participants will learn the fundamental moves to jumpstart your journey down the path of this amazing prop. The class will be based on the perquisite knowledge of the students, ranging from beginner to advanced techniques!

There will be limited extra dragonstaffs available for use – please bring extras if you have them!
Drew Hearthfire is a highly skilled fire performer with over fifteen years of experience captivating audiences. Known for their exceptional Dragonstaff performances, Drew also loves to work with his wife Aetheria and their friends to organize community events that promote education and awareness around fire performance and public safety.


Eastside Spin Jam is open to flow artists, jugglers, and any other person who wants to move and flow. See you Saturday!!


***Masks are not required but are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED!! ***

**What should I expect?


Friendly faces and welcoming spaces. Open jams are an unstructured time to come together and practice flow arts while building connections and community. Many love teaching. All props, skill levels and movement modalities are encouraged and welcome!


We plan to host workshops on a monthly basis. Let the event host know if you’re interested in teaching!

COVID Guidelines


– Masks are not required but ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. There will be extra masks available at the entry way for anyone who needs one.
– Please stay home if you have any symptoms of COVID or have been recently exposed to someone who is sick. If you recently attended a large, indoor gathering, please consider skipping, wearing a high quality mask, and/or taking an at home COVID test.
– Be mindful of people’s physical boundaries by asking first – especially before hugging or touching others.
