Eastside Spin Jam Workshop: Passing and Moving Patterns w/ John Spinosa

June 15 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Please join us for the Eastside Spin Jam every Saturday at the Downtown Bellevue Park from 1:00 – 3:00pm.

This week we’ll be featuring a juggling workshop taught by the one and only John Spinosa!

Passing and Moving Patterns with John Spinosa

Moving while passing objects is a fun skill that has nearly infinite variety. This class will explore moving while juggling, especially while passing with other people. Solo movement will be talked about, too. This class is appropriate for jugglers of all skill levels. Extra clubs available.

John Spinosa has been messing around with manipulatable objects of all sorts for over 30 years, but clubs and unicycles have received the most of his attention. He has been teaching juggling and unicycling at the School of Acrobatic and New Circus Arts (SANCA) in Seattle for over 10 years. John is a skilled, friendly, and fun teacher who has a knack for breaking things down to accommodate learners of all experience levels.

Eastside Spin Jam is open to flow artists, jugglers, and any other person who wants to move and flow. See you Saturday!!

Location: Downtown Bellevue Park
**What should I expect?

Friendly faces and welcoming spaces. Open jams are an unstructured time to come together and practice flow arts while building connections and community. Many love teaching. All props, skill levels and movement modalities are encouraged and welcome!

We plan to host workshops on a monthly basis. Let the event host know if you’re interested in teaching!

**Don’t have a prop of your own? We’ve always got extra to share.
Workshops are offered on a sliding scale/pay-what-you-can basis. No one turned away for lack of funds!

Suggested donation for workshops is $10-35.
