FlowShop: Prop Swap – CANCELLED DUE TO SNOW

December 20, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Event Series Event Series (See All)

This event is cancelled due to snow! Please keep your eyes peeled for a reschedule of this event in 2023.

Join us for the last official FlowShop of the 2022 at our semi-annual FlowShop Prop Swap!

This week’s event will be an open jam combined with an opportunity to buy, sell, trade, or gift props, art, and other circus-y things.

We’ll be featuring 5 local, femme artists selling their wares: LiviJoyHoops, Happiest Little Raincloud, Mumuchu, Lady Aetheria’s Traveling Wand Shoppe, and Torn in Seattle.

In addition to these fabulous vendors, community members are invited to bring any still-loved but no-longer-used props to swap, sell, gift, or receive with the community. There will be tables set up with labels to help keep things organized.

Not interested in shopping or swapping? No sweat! Come practice and make shapes with us while others peruse the goods.

*Please remember to wear a mask; We will have extras available!*

What should I expect at FlowShop?

Friendly faces and welcoming spaces. Open jams are an unstructured time to come together and practice flow arts while building connections and community. Many love teaching. All props, skill levels and movement modalities are encouraged and welcome!

Don’t have a prop of your own? Post to the event and we can bring some props from our community prop library!

How To Find Us at the Phinney Ridge Community Center: Navigate to the Lower Parking Lot and enter the brick building at the doorway at the bottom of the stairs. Once inside, go down the stairs and to the left.

Accessibility: There is a street entrance to the studio space that does not require stairs on Daytona Ave. Enter the double doors of the brick building and turn immediately to your right.

Donations keep us spinning! We believe in creating spaces that are financially accessible and also believe that artists deserve to be paid. Your donation to FlowShop helps support fair wages for working artists and covers the cost of renting the space.

Suggested cost for open jams is $5.
