FlowShop: Expanding Creativity in Juggling with Zoe Shugart

August 29 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Event Series Event Series (See All)

Join us every Tuesday at Volunteer Park from 6:30-9:00!

This week we’re featuring a workshop taught by Zoe Shugart: How to Expand Your Juggling Creativity. The workshop will start at 6:45 and last until about 8pm. Our regularly scheduled open jam will be happening as normal from 6:30-9:00 nearby the workshop.

Find us in Volunteer Park on the grassy area between the Seattle Asian Art Museum and the Volunteer Park Conservatory. We’ll be the ones with all the props 😉

Class Description: In this workshop, we will be going over fun tricks to expand your juggling repertoire as well as exploring ways to create your own unique flare to the tricks you already know! We will dive into some popular tricks such as Seb’s mess and windmills, as well as some fun manipulation concepts that can be incorporated into larger sequences. This will be an intermediate/advanced class but will have something for everyone, including beginners. There will be some extra clubs available.

About Zoe: With teaching experience spanning over 10 years, Zoe has honed the art of imparting knowledge while igniting passion in students of all levels. Their teaching philosophy is rooted in patience, empathy, and an emphasis on understanding each individual’s learning process. Zoe believes that juggling is not just about mastering patterns, but about cultivating a sense of discipline, focus, and self-confidence that extends far beyond juggling. Their students don’t just learn how to juggle; they learn how to embrace challenges, celebrate progress, and unleash their inner creativity.

Class Cost: Our workshops are offered on a sliding scale/pay-what-you-can basis, we suggest $10-35. The more you give, the more this hard working and deserving artist gets paid! Cash, PayPal, & Venmo accepted, no pre-registration required.

FlowShop hosts both workshops and “open jam” style events for movement artists of all sorts to come together for communal practice and play.
