FlowShop: Open Jam

June 4 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Event Series Event Series (See All)

Join us every Tuesday for FlowShop – we bring the space, you make the shapes!

FlowShop is a weekly gathering for flow artists, jugglers, dancers, and other movement artists to build community through practice and play. Our events are open to people of all backgrounds, skills, and levels of experience.

It’s outside season! FlowShop will be meeting every Tuesday at Volunteer Park on the grassy hill near the Volunteer Park Conservatory from 6:30-9:00pm.

FlowShop hosts both workshops and “open jam” style events for movement artists of all sorts to come together for communal practice and play.

Interested in teaching a workshop? Fill out our application here: https://forms.gle/98yNkgmmJKkfWSwq7

We want to extend a HUGE thank you to ArtsWA, the National Endowment for the Arts, and 4Culture. Each of these organizations has contributed grant funding to help keep our programs alive – we are so grateful!

What should I expect at FlowShop?

Friendly faces and welcoming spaces! Open jams are an unstructured time to come together and practice flow arts while building connections and community. Many love teaching! All props, skill levels, and movement modalities are encouraged and welcome.

Don’t have a prop of your own? We always have extra to spare!

How to find us at Volunteer Park: If using GPS, search for the Volunteer Park Conservatory. It’s located at the end of the main road into the park and is accessible from either park entrance. It’s a white building with lots of windows. With the conservatory at your back, you’ll see us flowing on the grassy hill below!

Accessibility: There are accessible parking spaces at the conservatory and the grass where we meet does not require stepping up or down. If there’s anything we can do to help accommodate your specific accessibility needs, or any questions we can answer, please email arlene@seattleflowarts.org

Parking: There is parking available inside of the park, and street parking available outside the park if needed.
