Northwest Flow Fest Community Fire Jam

June 24 @ 7:00 PM PDT - 11:00 PM PDT

Join us for a full weekend of flow arts fun at Northwest Flow Fest!
NWFF starts on Friday, June 24th with a Community Fire Jam sponsored by Seattle Flow Arts Collective! You do not need to purchase a workshop pass in order to attend – this event is free/pay-what-you-can to support the event!

**REGISTRATION INFORMATION**
Everyone who ~spins fire~ at these events is required to register at least 8 days in advance and complete our orientation/safety training once per calendar year.
If you have purchased a workshop pass to NWFF *PRIOR TO THURSDAY 6/17, OR have spun fire at one of our events in 2022, you are already registered for this event.
If this is your first time burning with us and/or you’re not attending NWFF, REGISTER HERE: https://forms.gle/vQHgDQPZjCWF9YQE9
Fire spinners of all skill levels are encouraged to attend, as are those who don’t plan to spin fire but would like to watch and/or play with LED or day props.

We ask all attendees to wear a mask at all times while inside the participant barriers unless you’re spinning fire. This includes while checking in at the front desk, being in the participant hang out zone, standing in line at the fuel depot, and while fueling your prop, regardless of vaccination status. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe and making this event possible!

Location: Gasworks Park, on the concrete next to the large metal structures
There are bathrooms available at the park.
Time: Check in starts at 6:30, Fire Circle opens at 8:00 and goes until 11:00pm!
Orientation will happen at 7:45 and ~9:00.

PLEASE DONATE TO SUPPORT THE FUTURE OF THIS EVENT!
We believe artistic expression should be available to all, which is why all of the events we produce are donation based and free to attend.

That said, each fire jam we produce costs over $350. Seattle Flow Arts Collective is a nonprofit that runs solely on donations from our community. Your financial support is deeply appreciated and helps us keep these events burning.

Suggested donation is $5-35.

Payments can be sent via PayPal at https://paypal.me/seattleflowarts, via our donation page at www.seattleflowarts.org/donate, or in person using Venmo or cash.

IF YOU PLAN TO SPIN FIRE:
*Register in advance: *Make sure you fill out our Google form 8 days before the event!* That means by midnight on Thursday, June 16th. This is required by the Fire Department for our permit so there is no wiggle room! We can’t let you spin if you don’t sign up! HERE IS THE LINK: https://forms.gle/vQHgDQPZjCWF9YQE9

Orientation: We ask that everyone who burns completes our fire safety & event orientation once per calendar year. We host an orientation twice at each event, 15 minutes before the fire circle opens and again about an hour and a half after it opens.

Dress to Impress… And Not Catch on Fire: Make sure to wear natural fibers or fire retardant treated clothing. Cotton, leather, & denim are all safe bets. Leave the synthetics, feathers, and fur at home. Spin barefoot at your own risk!

Volunteer: We need your help to keep the show running! When you check in at the front desk on the day of the event, you’ll be asked to pick a volunteer shift with either the Sign-in Desk, Fuel Depot, Fire Safety, or Set-up/Tear-down Crew. Thank you in advance for supporting your community in this way! ❤

– Maintain a respectful distance from people who aren’t part of your household.
– Please stay home if you have any symptoms of COVID or have been recently exposed to someone who is sick.
– Use hand sanitizer and sanitize props between use if sharing.
– Be mindful of people’s various comfort zones and vaccine statuses by asking about people’s boundaries – especially before hugging or touching others.
